A History of the Tibetan Empire DVD
The Dunghuang Manuscripts were collected in the 8th or 9th century for unknown reasons and were placed in a cave along what is known as The Silk Road. When the cave was opened in 1900, another dilemma presented itself; the script on the documents was so ancient, there was no one, even among Western Tibetologists, who could read them.
